Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of “Classics”. Today I have for you Big Apple Red by OPI.
Big Apple Red is a sheer-ish but semi-opaque fire engine “classic” red. It goes on semi-sheer on the 1st coat. It’s not completely opaque on the 2nd coat, but looks juicy and lovely!
This polish was originally released in the Fall/Winter 2000 New York City Collection, 15 years ago! This is a quintessential classic red that should be in any polish lover’s collection. It is named after the iconic city of New York of course which is nicknamed “The Big Apple”.
It is a perfect red. No other way to describe it. You must have it! OPI knows this so they have incorporated this shade into their Classics Core line.
OPI is 3 FREE so it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP. Not all of OPI’s polishes are 3 FREE but it is said that after 2006 all are 3 FREE. It’s best to check labels if you have a concern. OPI is sold at beauty supply stores, Ulta, Target, drugstores, and Amazon or eBay if you want to find the classics.
