Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing another polish with you from my “Classics” series. This one is a long time favorite that I’m sure many of you adore. This is Mademoiselle by essie.
Mademoiselle is described as a grown-up sheer pink. It is the perfect pink for a classic french manicure. It has been around for ages, but I was not able to find the exact launch year or collection. It is one of essie’s best selling colors overall and beloved by manicurists and nail polish aficionados all around the world. It is also one of Essie Weingarten’s personal favorites!
The formula on Mademoiselle is one that requires patience. You can’t just do a quick application and be done. It is extremely sheer and meant to be one of those “barely there” polishes. It applies easily but you have to wait until each coat is completely dry before applying the next. I used 3 coats here with Seche Vite top coat.
I also could not contain myself and added white tips using French Tip by Color Club to create the quintessential french manicure. This is such an elegant and classic look for all occasions. This is an easy way to look polished and put together. I actually have not done a french manicure is SOOO long because I’m always swatching many different colors, so it was nice to see my nails done this way!
essie is owned by L’Oreal, however the creator Essie Weingarten still remains the Global Creative Director. Did you know that she doesn’t do her own nails? She has been going to the same manicurist for 20 years! That’s incredible. She’s a wonderful inspiration and her creation has evolved to a nail polish empire! Essie is my favorite mainstream brand and the largest from my collection. I own over 150 shades 🙂
Hope you liked this Classic shade. Do you own Mademoiselle? One last fun fact – Mademoiselle means “Miss” in French 🙂
