Color Club: East Austin

Happy Tuesday lacquered lovelies! Today I’m sharing an oldie, but newbie polish just added to my collection. Recently I did a slightly big enormous Color Club haul at my local beauty supply store. When I stepped into the store they had a brand spankin’ new CC display filled with a gorgeous rainbow array of CC shades that I just could not resist. I bought one of each and a few for my friends. Needless to say when I pulled up my basket of CC goodies to the cashier, he gasped! It was an epic haul 🙂 He also gave me a discount since I bought so many so I was ecstatic. Today’s lovely is East Austin by Color Club.

East Austin is a bright almost-neon peach/coral shade. It is STUNNING!!!! I always gravitate toward these shades because they give me an instant tan and just go so well with my skin tone. The formula is a bit on the thick side which is ok with me because I apply thick coats either way. I did 2 coats with a beautiful glossy top coat here.

The polish was inspired by one of Color Club’s favorite places in the US – Austin, TX. Have you ever been there? I LOVE Texas so much. My brother, sister-in-law and nieces live there. I’ve never been to Austin but I’ve been to Dallas and San Antonio.

This polish is from the Fall 2013 Girl About Town Collection. It’s not exactly what you’d expect for a Fall collection, right? Not typical at all, but I absolutely love it. Since I live in such a tropical hot as heck climate, it doesn’t really feel like Fall down here in Miami with our 80 degree temperatures. So this color is perfect for this time of year. It’s warm enough to wear a vibrant, Spring-ish shade. Plus, it’s Spring in Australia anyways so this polish is for all my Aussie nail polish friends!

Color Club is made in the US and is vegan friendly. They are also never tested on animals. I purchased this color at my local beauty supply store but I have also seen them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. You can also purchase Color Club on their site for $8.50.

Do you wear any bright colors in the Fall? Do you own any shades from this collection?
