Hi pretty polishers! The long weekend is almost here. Does anyone in the US have fun Labor Day weekend plans? I plan to swatch, swatch, swatch, oh and swatch some more 🙂 Today I’m sharing a few random polishes I picked up at Target from defy & INSPIRE. They were on sale so I couldn’t pass them up!
This is a baby blue filled with subtle blue shimmer. The formula is ok, it was a bit sheer and took 3 full coats for opacity.
This is a mint green filled with green shimmer. It was sheer like Winner’s Circle, so it also took 3 full coats for opacity. However the shimmer in this beauty is much more noticeable.
This is a bright mandarin orange filled with orange shimmer. So pigmented! It applies well but it’s also a bit watery so don’t overload your brush to avoid flooding your cuticles. I did 2 coats here.
This is a deep violet filled with the tiniest hint of pink shimmer. It has the same name as a China Glaze polish from the 2015 Electric Nights Collection. Ha! Formula on this was good, pigmented but a bit uneven so it took 3 coats to be opaque and even.
This is a teal (duh) filled with gold shimmer. It almost looks like this has a duo chrome effect. Love it! It’s a bit sheer on the 1st coat, but fully opaque in 2. This beauty is giving me mermaid vibes!
defy & INSPIRE is a brand released exclusively at Target stores nationwide in the US. As mentioned in the Target Corporate article, at just $7.49 a bottle, defy & INSPIRE features 38 stunning shades—all featuring tongue-in-cheek names like “Ladies Who Lunch” and “Newlyweds”—as well as a base and top coat. Plus, the line boasts a patented formula that delivers a no-chip mani/pedi without the hassle of lights or other tools.
Each polish is 5 FREE and made in the US. I love the matte bottle top and glass bottle shape!
Have you tried this brand yet? The first time I tried this brand, I reviewed it here.
Which one of these was your favorite? Mine was Ultra Teal.
