Hello pretty polishers! Hope you’re having a great weekend. Today I’m sharing with you a partial review of the Dermelect Fall 2016 Unearthed Collection.
Dermelect is a new to my blog brand so when they contacted me to send over these pretties I was all for it! This is a 6 piece collection but I will be sharing 3 of the 6 with you today.
“The Unearthed Collection was inspired by the colors of the season, which are drawn from various elements of nature, including lava, copper, soil and bright foliage,” said Elle, Celebrity Nail Tech and Dermelect Color Curator. “Our palette is meant to awaken a new appreciation for nature’s unparalleled beauty by delivering modern earth tones that are equally varied in color and texture yet come together to create unexpected synergy.”
Beyond imparting gorgeous, long-lasting color on nails and toes, Dermelect’s Unearthed Collection gives back to the earth its drawn inspiration from by partnering with the non-profit Trees for the Future (trees.org). The brand has committed to plant one, new tree for every polish sold from the collection through April 2017 with a minimum donation of 10,000 trees planted. Trees for the Future improves the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands and planting over 128 million trees over the world to help people break out of poverty and address the global environment. Isn’t that awesome?! So you can feel really good about buying these polishes!
Let’s take a look at the few I received.
This is a lush hunter green crelly. This is bit streaky, watery, and didn’t have a great formula but it’s very luscious and pretty. It takes a full 3 coats to be opaque and is perfect for Fall.
TO THE CORE
This is a russet copper orange with shimmer. This one was thin, but a bit better than Verdure. It’s opaque in 2 coats.
Macro of the pretty orange shimmer
This is a foiled marigold filled with yellow shimmer. The formula was also streaky and sheer but it does cover completely in 3 coats.
Look at the gorgeous shimmer:
Dermelect’s signature keratin protein peptide strengthens nails and extends the life of the manicure. The first coat instantly bonds to the nail, while the second fuses with the base coat to create a flexible web of color that resists chipping and improves brittleness. The key ingredient, Keratin Protein Peptide, is extracted from New Zealand sheep’s wool and works to help strengthen the nails.
Here are all the reasons why Dermelect is SO good:
Strengthens weak, brittle nails
Restores nail flexibility
Helps nails resist chipping and splitting
Water and detergent resistant
Protects against UV rays
Provides long-lasting, high shine and bold color and the BEST reasons of all:
Cruelty FREE: no animal testing ever
5-FREE: Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Camphor and Toluene FREE
Dermelect’s ‘ME’ Fall 2016 Unearthed Collection retails for $14.00 each and as a set for $29.00 on www.dermelect.com.
