Happy Friday Lacquered Babes! This week has flown by for me. 🙂 Hope you all had a great one!
Today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite comparisons – DUPES! I’ve posted a couple other Dupes posts on my blog so it’s become like a mini series. You can view all of my DUPES! posts here.
On today’s edition of DUPES! Color Club’s Bright Night goes head-to-head with Sally Hansen’s Royal Rage. These two look very very similar in the bottles next to each other. Take a look:
However, once on the nail, that’s not the case!!!! This is 1 coat of each color:
And now here is 2 coats:
Completely and totally different! Night and Day, right? Here are the reviews on each one:
This is an amazing bright (hence the name!) royal blue from the Color Club 2013 Kaleidoscope Collection. This blue is truly a dream! It is pigmented, bright, thick (but not in a bad way), and goes on very smooth. It is nearly a 1-coater if you apply a thick coat. 2 coats will get you opaque, creamy, yumminess! 🙂 I am in love with this color and have gotten many compliments while wearing it. This is definetely the winner out of the two.
Oh Sally, sally, sally… what is going on here? I usually adore the Xtreme Wear line because of the formulas and colors, but this one is a disaster. Reminds me of Tan Lime… blehhh!. It is a wannabe royal blue that is sheer and jelly, but not squishy-jelly, it’s watery jelly. It’s just terrible in my opinion. I gave up after the 2nd coat because I knew it would take at least 4 coats to look somewhat decent, just like Tan Lime. Awful! So unless you love the sheer jelly look, I don’t recommend this one. I miss the old Pacific Blue from Sally Hansen. I have the new formula, but not the old formula anymore.
Here are some gorgeous swatches of Bright Night. My fave! This is 2 coats and top coat taken indoors under a high definition lamp. Look at just how gorgeous juicy and bright this blue is!!! Insert <heart eyed emoji> here!
Hope you guys enjoyed this edition of DUPES! and if you would like to see more of these, let me know in the comments 🙂
Stay strong in your Pursuit!
