DUPES? Matilda by Lights Lacquer Comparisons

Hi loves! It’s a rainy gloomy day in Miami today and I am SO HAPPY I’m home. Yes, quarantine has been tough, but I have really enjoyed getting so much done and being able to blog so much. It’s really been a blessing for me in so many ways.

OPI Samoan Sand – OPI Do You Take Lei Away? – Lights Lacquer Matilda – KL Polish Snickerdoodle

Ok so today we are continuing with the DUPES comparisons for the YNBB Collection by Lights Lacquer. Dupes posts for Mila can be found here and here. Today it’s MATILDA’s turn! I found a few that might be similar so let’s take a look at each one.

MATILDA by Lights Lacquer

This is a gorgeous sandy beige nude. WOW! Soooo beautiful!!! I’m in love. Same formula as the previous polish. Fantastically pigmented, smooth, and also opaque in two easy coats. This compliments my skin tone so well. I am really loving it.

This is a beautiful vanilla beige-y nude creme. The formula is really thick so you might want to do thin coats so you don’t flood your cuticles. It’s so pigmented, nearly opaque in 1 coat. I did 2 coats here.

This is a gorgeous milky sand nude creme. The formula is perfect and opaque. This is 2 coats. Originally from the Spring 2015 Hawaii Collection. (This pic is super old… back in my early blogging days!)

This is a gorgeous warm beige nude. It looks very chic and natural on my olive skin tone. The formula of course was great! This is a very sheer polish, but it builds up opacity. I did 3 coats for this great nude look. (Again, super old pic!)

Alright so now that we have looked at each one individually, let’s check out the comparison! Here they are side by side:

Yea I kind of knew there wouldn’t be any DUPES here guys. These were a teeny bit similar in the bottles, but I could still spot the differences. The most requested comparison was to Snickerdoodle, so now you know it’s much more yellow toned and not as beige as Matilda.

BTW my bottle of Do you Take Lei Away has a bit of a peach tone on the bottom because the color was separating and as much as I rolled and shook it, the peach color didn’t go away. This polish is 5 years old already, so this pigment separation is normal.

If there are any other polishes you can think of that I haven’t compared Matilda to, let me know in the comments.

As always, I topped my swatches off with Seche Vite which you can get here. The YNBB Collection can be purchased here.
