Hi polish lovers! I had so many requests to do DUPES comparisons for the polishes in the new YNBB Collection by Lights Lacquer so I decided to do them all. In case you missed my review on the new collection, you can check it out here.
Today we are starting out with MILA. This one had the most requests out of the whole collection. In this post I will be comparing Mila to polishes from KL Polish. In a separate post I will show comparisons to a few OPI polishes that were also requested. So this is part 1.
Comparison polishes are Coconut Milk, Wishbone and Graham. Let’s take a look at each one first.
This is an ivory beige creme. Excellent formula. I was so pleasantly surprised. I thought for sure this polish would be streaky as most polishes this color can be. Nope not here! This was smooth, creamy, pigmented, and opaque in two easy coats. Originally from the YNBB Collection by Lights Lacquer.
This is a pale bone nude creme. I was surprised at how well this covered on the 1st coat. It is super creamy and pigmented. Covers completely in 2 coats. Originally from the KL Polish Fall 2017 Collection.
This is a milky bone white creme. The formula was not easy to work with because it is streaky and patchy and even after 3 coats I had to add a 4th coat to some nails because they were still looking patchy. This is such a gorgeous Spring and Summer color, I just wish the formula was a tad better. It really does look milky though and I think that’s the look she was going for with this color. Originally from the KL Polish Spring 2017 Collection.
This is a greige creme. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a ONE coater here!!! What an amazing formula. I was honestly surprised this was opaque in one coat. It’s not easy to get a color of this tone to be opaque in one coat. I love this polish!! Originally from the KL Polish Winter 2017 Collection.
Alright so now that we have looked at each one individually, let’s check out the comparison! Here they are side by side:
I was kind of expecting this result. Looking at them side by side in the bottles I knew they were not exact, but you really can never be positive until they are swatched on the nail side by side. So here we are. There are NO DUPES.
Wishbone is the closest to Mila but as you can see, it is still a bit darker.
Hope this helps you guys out and let me know in the comments if there is any other polish you want me to compare MILA to.
