DUPES? OPI My Private Jet vs. KL Polish Cassiopeia

Happy Sunday Funday loves! This is such a good one!!! You guys know I love DUPES posts so when one of my subscribers asked me on my blog to compare these two I said OF COURSE!! Today we are taking a look at My Private Jet by OPI and Cassiopeia by KL Polish.

These two look super similar in the bottle. The only difference I can spot right off the bat is that Cassiopeia has more holo scattered glitter particles, but they seem to be the same tone of brown. Let’s take a look at each one.

This is a luxurious deep black with glints of glamour. It’s so hard to describe actually but it’s such a beauty! I would say it’s a deep coppery brown filled with tons and tons of delicious scattered holo glitter with a copper flash. The original My Private Jet is from the Spring 2007 Night Brights Collection which is over 10 years old! The original formula had linear holographic in it which of course was a dream! But slowly throughout the years they kept changing the formula and taking out the holo. My Private Jet is one of OPI’s most popular and sought after polishes especially the original of course.

This is a chocolate brown filled with tons of holo micro glitter. GORGE!!! Wow! This one takes my breath away. Super easy formula. Opaque in 2 coats.

Now let’s take a look at these side by side:

WOW!!! Ok so this is ONE coat of each. They are incredibly pigmented and really only needed one coat to reach opacity. I’m in love with them. Here is my verdict: Not exact DUPES, but very close and they can pass off as DUPES. Cassiopeia is a slight bit more rich and a hair darker. I also feel like it has a little bit more scattered holo glitter as I had mentioned before. Formula wise they are both amazing and apply like a dream. Price wise, KL Polish is $9.50 and OPI is around $10.50 depending on the retailer.

OPI is 3 FREE so it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP. Not all of OPI’s polishes are 3 FREE but it is said that after 2006 all are 3 FREE. It’s best to check labels if you have a concern. OPI is sold at beauty supply stores, retailers or you can purchase it on Amazon here.

KL Polish is vegan, cruelty free, and 12 FREE. You can purchase KL Polish here and as always, you can use my code POLISHEDPURSUIT to save 10% off your order.
