It’s Friday!!! How on earth are we almost mid-April? My weeks are just blending together and before I know it, it will be Christmas. My goodness! Ok well, until then I’m sharing another DUPES post! I know you guys love these, so let’s take a look. Today I’m comparing Selene by KL Polish and Daisy by ZOYA which was a request from a follower.
These look like they might be similar except for the shimmer… but you never know until they are side by side. Let’s take a look at each one first.
SELENE by KL Polish
This is s muted mustardy yellow filled with fine silver micro glitter. LOVE!!!! I’m a huge fan of yellow polish so this one was easy for me to love. It has an incredible formula. Super easy to apply and buttery smooth after 2 coats. This gorgeous polish was named after one of Kathleen’s cute doggies.
DAISY by ZOYA
This is a baby chick pastel yellow with blue iridescent shimmer. I was highly impressed with the formula since it is a shimmer AND a yellow. It did not leave brush strokes or unevenness. The application was a breeze. This is 2 easy coats. My only complaint with this shade and all of the other shimmers was removal. The shimmer went all over my fingers when I was removing it, so it was kind of a pain to get off.
Ignore the “Nailpolishpursuit.com” watermark, that’s what my blog used to be named.
Now let’s take a look side by side:
Ok guys, ZERO DUPES here lol. The shimmer is totally different. It’s much stronger on Daisy than it is on Selene. The shades of yellow are also a bit different. Selene is more mustard-y toned and Daisy is more pastel chick yellow. Both are so gorgeous! Formulas are similar. They are both pretty streaky and I had to do 3 coats for each.
Both of these are priced equally. However, Selene is no longer being sold but Daisy is available for $10 here.
Leave me your DUPE suggestions below! Have a great weekend!!!
