essie 2015 Cashmere Matte BRIGHTS Collection: Swatches + Review

Happy middle-of-the-week day Pretty Polishers! Today I’m sharing with you guys an exclusive and special collection. This set is only sold at ULTA in stores and online in the US. This is the

essie 2015 Cashmere Matte Brights Collection

essie 2015 Cashmere Matte Brights {exclusive to ULTA} | Nailspolishpursuit.comThese look very Spring-ish to me, right? I think they should have been released in the Spring right after the regular Cashmere Matte Collection that was released last Winter. Well in any case, these are now available in full size or a mini set exclusively at ULTA. I really wanted the mini set, but my local ULTA only had the full size bottles. This is what the mini set looks like:essie 2015 Cashmere Matte Brights {exclusive to ULTA} | Nailspolishpursuit.com

The formula and application on these is very similar to the original Cashmere matte polishes. Let’s take a look at each one:

Hip Tide

This is a rose pink with very subtle iridescent shimmer. You can barely see the shimmer in the bottle and once on the nail it’s just a hint noticeable. This was streaky on the 1st coat as expected, but evened out on the 2nd coat. This color did bubble a bit, but dries very very fast!

Soft as Sand

This is a blush pale pink with very subtle iridescent shimmer. This one was super streaky! I did a thin 1st coat and then thicker coats afterward and it still took me 3-4 coats to make all of my nails opaque.

Yespadrilles

This is a mint green with very subtle iridescent shimmer. What I noticed on these polishes is that it’s much easier to let the brush glide on your nail lightly instead of pressing down on the brush. This was opaque in 2-3 coats. It’s very pretty and the coolest thing about it is the name!

Sea the Sights

This is a baby blue with NO shimmer! YAY! I personally don’t love the shimmer so this is the only one from the set that doesn’t include the shimmer and is a creme. This also had the better formula out of the bunch. This is 2 easy coats.

While I am not a huge fan of the matte finish or formula on these, they do look very chic and soft perfect for occasions such as baby showers, certain workplaces, and even a wedding! I added a glossy top coat to these and I LOVED them so much more! What a difference the glossy makes 🙂

My favorite from the bunch was Sea the Sights. It’s a perfect baby blue shade! I love these for Spring so I will definitely be taking them out next April.
