essie is now available at Sally Beauty!

Hi loves! Happy FRI-YAY! I have some exciting news to share with you. Sally Beauty is proud to announce that they are now carrying essie nail polish in their stores and online!

At my local Sally Beauty, they are right in between the OPI and China Glaze polishes.

In celebration of this new launch, Sally Beauty sent me an adorable Easter basket filled with gorgeous essie shades, a beautiful essie bag, and some yummy Easter chocolate!

I was sure they were going to send me shades I already had since my essie collection is so extensive, however, much to my surprise I only had ONE of the four polishes they sent me! Crazy, right?!? I was pretty surprised and SO happy to try these new-to-me shades! Let’s take a look at them.

This is a sheer pale pink. The formula was extremely sheer on this one. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and usually I don’t like sheer polish, but I must say I really like this one. My nails look like those Shellac gel nails from the salon. They actually look amazing with this polish. I loved it. This is 3 coats. This beauty is the oldest of the bunch, which makes me love it more, originally from the Spring 2008 Collection.

This is a strawberry/raspberry red creme. Soooo delicious and yummy! LOVE it! The formula is watery so be careful not to overload your brush. Do thin coats! This is 2 easy coats. This beauty is originally from the Summer 2014 Collection.

This is a bright lavender creme. This one also had a thin formula so don’t overload your brush with polish otherwise you will flood your cuticles! I adore this one. Perfect for Spring and Easter. Lovely! This is 2 coats. This beauty is originally from the Spring 2012 Collection.

This is a periwinkle blue with tiny iridescent shimmer. This was the only polish I already had, but I love it so much I don’t mind having a back up at all! The formula is a bit patchy on the first 2 coats so I did a 3rd coat but it is SO worth it! The result is gorgeous. This beauty is originally from the Summer 2012 Collection.

I wish the shimmer was more noticeable on the nail, but it’s so subtle it’s almost microscopic. I took this shot of the bottle with my macro lens.

I also received the essie All-in-one Base coat which combines a base coat + top coat + strengthener. This was my first time trying it and I LOVED it!! It feels so nice on the nails when you apply it, almost like water. Refreshing, thin, and glides right on. It also feels very protecting. It’s staying on my swatch table for daily use.

Essie Cosmetics is owned by L’Oréal. The brand has over 250 shades in the permanent collection, plus releases four seasonal color collections and two specialty collections every year. Essie is 3 FREE and sold in drug stores, salons, and beauty supply stores world wide.

Which one of these was your favorite? I loved all of these but especially loved Play Date! Have you seen essie polish at your local Sally Beauty yet? Have a great weekend loves!
