Happy hump day loves! It’s that time again for another essie Color of the Month! I’m so happy with their pick this month, it’s an essie classic that I’ve had in my collection for about 6 years now. This is Set in Stones.
This beauty is a clear base filled with tons of silver hex glitters in different sizes. There are small hex glitters, large hex glitters and super tiny hex glitters as well. They are all packed in the bottle and look so gorgeous! I was able to get this opaque using the sponging method. I applied one coat first and then sponged on about three coats after that until I saw it was opaque.
Set in Stones is originally from the 2011 Luxeffects Holiday Collection. I love Luxeffects glitters because they are all about glam!
I also swatched 1 coat of this beauty over a nude shade and a black. Which one do you prefer?
I feel like you can wear this over a neutral shade during the day and over black for a fun holiday party.
The nude polish is My Vampire is Buff by OPI and the black polish is Black on Black by SinfulColors
I also want to add that if you are going to apply this on it’s own to get it opaque, it’s best to use a peel off base coat. This is a very chunky glitter and can be a total PITA to remove.
