Hi loves! It’s Throwback Thursday so I’m going to share with you an oldie but goodie polish as well as another February Fiery polish for my series this month! This one just makes me swoon. Let’s take a look at the gorgeous Over & Over A-Gwen by OPI.
This beauty is originally from the Gwen Stefani Spring 2014 Collection. I have quite a few polishes from that collection including this limited editon box shade. Who watches The Voice on NBC and loves Gwen Stefani like I do? Even if you don’t watch The Voice, Gwen is such an icon! Her signature red lipstick shines through in this classic red polish.
The box also brings really pretty Swarovski elements studs & crystals that you can use to decorate your nails after you apply the polish. Super cute.
Over & Over A-Gwen is a classic apple red creme. It is a bit thin and watery so be careful not to overload your brush otherwise you will flood your cuticles. I applied this polish with the utmost care because it is such a bright red that I did not want to get any of it on the sides of my nails or my cuticles.
It does glide on the nail smooth though and is opaque in 2 coats. I can’t believe I had not applied this polish before. I purchased it years ago (when I first started this blog) and just kept it tucked away in the collector’s box. Well it was finally time for it to see the light. So stunning!
I love the plastic wrap on the bottle cap that has Gwen’s signature printed on it.
OPI is 3 FREE so it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP. Not all of OPI’s polishes are 3 FREE but it is said that after 2006 all are 3 FREE. It’s best to check labels if you have a concern. OPI is sold at beauty supply stores, Ulta, Target, drugstores, and Amazon or eBay and they retail for about $9.00 USD each.
Do you remember this awesome OPI polish? It’s such a beauty! What is your go-to red polish?
