Julie G: Dance in the Dark

Hi Pretty Polishers!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Today I’m sharing my very first Julie G polish ever! This brand is not easy to find in Miami because we don’t have Rite Aid pharmacies down here. I found this one by luck at a local supermarket named Navarro. They didn’t have many shades, but I made sure to pick this one up.

Dance in the Dark is a mysterious surprise in a bottle. When I purchased this I thought, oh what a pretty purple. Well much to my surprise, this is actually a royal blue jelly base with tons of blue and purple glitter. However, when you apply it, the only thing you see is royal blue. This is 2 coats indoors under a lamp.

The only way I was able to capture some of the purple was by shining the bottle in the sunlight and even at that, you can only see a tiny bit of purple shimmer. In person, the whole bottle looks purple. I really like these kinds of polishes that are so versatile. The formula was good and it covered nicely in 2 coats. These were taken outdoors under sunlight.

Here’s a close up of the bottle at an angle so you can sort of see the purple I’m talking about. It’s there! Sorry it’s a little fuzzy.

Julie G is part of Jesse’s Girl cosmetics which is a very affordable line of predominately makeup but they have a great line of nail polish – Julie G. They have been in market for ten years now and continue to grow. As I mentioned before, Julie G is sold mostly at Rite Aid, but also at other retailers such as SaveMart, and Fagen. Here you can find a complete list of retailers near you.

I would say this is a great 4th of July color! Can’t wait for summer time. Do you own any Julie G’s?

Stay strong in your Pursuit!

  • Wow this blue is spectacular! I don’t own any Julie G polishes but this color makes me want to start.

    • If you have a Rite Aid near you, check them out. I have to hunt for more since we don’t have Rite Aid’s in Miami :/
