Hi loves! Today I have a new to me brand on the blog – Olive & June. The first time I encountered this brand was at Target when I noticed they had done a collab with essie! This was the display they had:
So cute right?! The nail stickers were adorable and matched perfectly with essie polishes. Well, it turns out this brand is actually a nail salon in California and has their own nail polish! What a dream!!
Olive & June was founded in 2013 by mani-obsessee Sarah Gibson Tuttle in Beverly Hills, California. O&J elevates the salon experience, giving women personalized attention and luxury service at an approachable price. With a new line of products, O&J is elevating the at-home experience too.
The gorgeous Summer 2019 Collection is made up of 4 polishes with a Vacay Everyday theme. These polishes are 7 FREE! Let’s take a look at each one.
This is a bubblegum pink creme. The formula is a bit streaky. After 2 coats I still saw streaks so I did another coat and that did the trick. It’s a gorgeous Summer shade!
The polish names are all initials of women who were the inspiration behind each color. SE is named after Sophie Elkus who is a Los Angeles blogger.
This is a peach pastel creme. The formula was a teeny streaky so I did 2.5 coats. Some nails, like my ring finger, needed that extra coat. I am obsessed with peachy polishes for Summer! They are my face along with corals.
BI is named after Blair Imani who is a historian and author.
This is a blurple creme. The formula was great! It was opaque in almost one coat. I did the second coat to even everything out.
CNH is named after Christina Hooks who is a hand model and does a lot of the modeling for Olive & June.
This is a stark white creme. Love this for Summer. White nails + Summer nails! The formula was really good. Smooth, creamy, and opaque in 2 coats.
HD is named after Haylie Duff who is an actress, lifestyle blogger, and Hillary Duff’s sister!
These polishes retail for $8 each and are on pre-sale right now! The first shipment goes out next Monday July 15th! You can purchase them here.
These colors are gorgeous and I love that this brand started off as a nail salon and has expanded to all things nails! My only observation with these polishes that could use improvement is the brush. It is wide and round-edge but the bristles are staggered and that makes the brush way too chubby and difficult to apply the polish. It just makes it harder to have clean swipes. If the bristles weren’t staggered the brush would be perfect!
Other than that, these polishes are a dream! I also really love that they are 7 FREE!!! You don’t get that too often with polish. The price is also very reasonable.
Have you tried Olive & June or visited their salon in Los Angeles? Which one of these is your favorite?
