Hi polish lovers! It has been YEARS since I have featured an OPI DS polish on my blog. It feels great to finally post one. If you don’t already know, I’m on a journey to swatch many of my untried collections.
This beauty was stashed in one of the many untrieds drawers I have. So I felt like bringing it out and putting it on my nails.
The backstory on DS polishes by OPI:
OPI first launched the Designer Series in 2006 with some glitter and holographic polishes that were a sight for sore eyes. I believe they were some of the first “holo” polishes from a mainstream brand so it was a big deal. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know I’m obsessed with collecting as many OPI DS polishes as possible. I usually find these at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for around $5 USD which is a steal because these retail for around $11 USD. I honestly don’t even know if they still make DS polishes, I wanna say they don’t because I have not heard of a new DS collection being released in ages. The last I heard they were releasing 2 at a time in the Fall. So what I do is collect the oldies. Let’s take a look at my latest find.
This is a cherry red with tons of orange copper shimmer and lots of micro holo glitters. It’s such a stunner!
I’ve never met a DS polish I didn’t like. They are all so so sooo pretty. The formula was great! Practically opaque in 1 coat. I did 2 here.
The micro holo glitter is such a beautiful touch. You can see it on the nail and it just sparkles beautifully in the sun.
I topped this beauty off with Seche Vite Top coat which you can get on Amazon here.
