Hi everyone! I wasn’t able to get this post up yesterday, so I’m back today! This weekend has been full or organizing, cleaning, and getting ready for new things in my life, which is all very exciting!! Hope you’re having a productive and fun weekend as well. Here is the 2nd half of the OPI Fall 2015 Venice Collection.
In case you missed the 1st half of this collection, you can see it here. The inspiration behind this collection was people watching in the piazza, sipping champagne in a gondola, and enjoying gelato in an outdoor café. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann traveled to none other than one of the most romantic cities in the world Venice, Italy to see the sights and taste the food that inspired this gorgeous collection. Best job in the world, in my opinion!
The entire Fall 2015 Venice Collection consists of 12 polishes and 3 Limited Edition polishes. There are 3 shimmers and 9 cremes in the larger collection and the Limited Edition collection consists of 3 metallics and 1 contains glitter. Whenever there are huge collections like this, I like to split them up just to make it easier on the eyes and not overload you with pictures. So today I’m gonna share the second half of this gorgeous collection.
The formulas on these were all different, so I will describe formulas for each one. The colors are also very different and not your “typical” Fall shades. I also added top coat to all of my swatches and photos are all taken indoors for accuracy. Let’s get to it!
IT’S A PIAZZA CAKE
This is a burnt orange creme. Amazing formula! It covers really well on the 1st coat. Opaque and juicy on the 2nd coat. I loved this one so much. Very pumpkin-y and perfect for Fall!
MY GONDOLA OR YOURS?
This is a black creme with very subtle shimmer dust. This was watery and streaky on the 1st coat, but amazingly covers up completely on the 2nd coat. It is SO pretty. The shimmer really gives it such a unique look. I don’t have anything like this in my collection.
Here’s a little close-up so you can see that dusty shimmer!
O SUZI MIO
This is a plum/eggplant purple creme. This is a bit thin and watery on the 1st coat but covers nicely on the 2nd coat. It has that somewhat skunky smell that some purples/blues have which doesn’t bother me because I can only smell it a bit when I’m applying it. This is gorgeous, vampy, and lovely for Fall.
PURPLE PALAZZO PANTS
This is a beautiful lilac creme. It is SO perfect for Spring time. The formula was great! A little sheer on the 1st coat, but covers completely on the 2nd. It’s lovely. I remember when palazzo pants were in style last year, I have a few and still adore them.
TIRAMISU FOR TWO
This is a buff nude creme. It has a delicious formula! Covers really well on the 1st coat and then covers well on the 2nd coat. I noticed a tiny bit of patchiness on some nails so I added a 3rd coat to some so this is opaque in 2.5 coats. I really adore this one. I’ve seen so many bloggers, vloggers, and beauty gurus wearing this and now I know why! It’s gorgeous!!
WORTH A PRETTY PENNE
This is a rose gold shimmer. What a fantastic formula! It covers nearly completely on the 1st coats. Totally opaque in 2 coats. It’s shimmery and frosty, which works perfectly for the Winter months.
There are 3 left in this gigantic collection, the limited edition shades. I will have those up soon! My faves from this bunch were Tiramisu for Two and It’s a Piazza Cake. I also really enjoyed My Gondola or Yours because of it’s uniqueness.
The OPI Fall 2015 Venice Collection is available in stores now and retail for about $9.50 USD. OPI is 3 FREE so it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP. Not all of OPI’s polishes are 3 FREE but it is said that after 2006 all are 3 FREE. It’s best to check labels if you have a concern. OPI is sold at beauty supply stores, Ulta, Target, drugstores, and Amazon or eBay. Most of the OPI classic polishes are available online or stores.
Have a great Sunday pretty polishers!
