OPI Spring/Summer 2017 FIJI Collection | Swatches + Review

Hi pretty polishers! Today I’m sharing with you the huge and beautiful Spring/Summer 2017 FIJI Collection by OPI.

This spring, OPI heads to Fiji – the perfect destination to live out your color fantasy. Featuring a palette that incorporates the vibrant hues of the islands’ flora – most notably the sweetly fragrant exotic flowers – with the colors of the sea – from blue lagoons to coral reefs – the Fiji Collection by OPI takes consumers on a journey to one of the most beautiful places in the world. OPI captures the essence of Fiji with its collection inspired by the land – from the ever-changing blues of the endless ocean to the bright pops of color found in the islands’ native flora and fauna. Long stretches of palm-lined, sandy beaches and bold, vibrant sunsets add to the collection’s tropical flair. The Fiji Collection embraces color and captures the essence of the lush, unspoiled terrain – evoking an emotional response and offering a spiritual connection to the environment.

This is a 12 piece set with and additional 3 shades that are exclusive to ULTA. The collection was inspired by the vibrant hues and tropical flowers of FIJI, an island in the South Pacific that I have always dreamed of visiting! One day I hope to make my dream come true. The set is made up mostly of cremes with the exception of 2 shimmers. Let’s take a look at these beauties.

LIVING ON THE BULA-VARD!

This is a hot orangey red creme. This one has a fantastic formula. It’s a tiny patchy on the 1st coat, but covers perfectly on the second coat. Super juicy and delicious!

TWO-TIMING THE ZONES

This is a blue-based bubblegum pink creme. It’s a bit patchy so it took me 2-3 coats to cover the nail entirely. This one is so gorgeous and perfect for Summer.

NO TAN LINES

This is a beautiful vibrant tangerine orange creme. LOVE LOVE LOVE! This beauty had a phenomenal formula. Opaque in 2 easy coats. It looks great on my skin tone. Thank you to OPI for sending me this single polish for review. I loved it so much I just had to purchase the rest of the collection!

EXOTIC BIRDS TO NOT TWEET

This is a bright canary yellow creme. It was a bit streaky on the first coat but covers up nicely on the second coat which is surprising for a yellow. It was pigmented and had a great formula!

I CAN NEVER HUT UP

This is a cement grey with iridescent subtle green/blue shimmer. Great formula! Opaque in 2 easy coats. Shimmer is subtle but so gorgeous.

COCONUTS OVER OPI

This is a taupe/beige nude creme. Excellent formula! So beautiful and juicy. I love nudes like these to wear year-round! This is 2 coats.

GETTING NADI ON MY HONEYMOON

This is a pale light pink creme. The formula isn’t the best. Streaky and patchy. I had to do 3 coats to get it opaque and even but I’m picky and don’t’ like seeing streaks.

POLLY WANT A LACQUER?

This is a light lavender creme. It’s a bit streaky as well. I did 2.5 coats for full opacity.

SUZI WITHOUT A PADDLE

This is a pale baby blue creme. These are the more pastel Spring-shades of the collection. This one was streaky but not as bad as the other two polishes. This is 2 coats.

IS THAT A SPEAR IN YOUR POCKET?

This is a medium teal creme. Gorgeous!! Amazing formula. It was almost opaque in 1 coat but I saw some minor patchiness so I did 2 coats to cover completely. Love this color! Luckily this polish did not stain, but keep in mind my nails don’t stain easily.

SUPER TROP-I-CAL-I-FIJI-ISTIC

WOW! What a name! LOL This is a deep cobalt blue creme. ONE COATER!!! I knew there had to be a one coater somewhere in this massive collection. This one is it! Great buttery formula and did not stain.

DO YOU SEA WHAT I SEA?

This is a gorgeous cerulean blue shimmer. Great formula! A bit sheer on the first coat but covers nicely on the second coat. Super easy to remove as well. No shimmery mess.

ULTA EXCLUSIVES

These were sold only at ULTA stores. I purchased mine in store for $10 USD each.

HAND ME MY SUNGLASSES

This is a gorgeous melon/coral creme. Even though this baby is a 3 coater, I’m still in love. Colors like these make me melt!

TROPI-CAL ME ON MY CELL

This is a pale pastel lime creme. Super sheer on the first coat. This one was a 3-4 coater. Mehhh! Not the best formula but so so pretty.

NAILS OF PARADISE

This is a light orchid creme. ONE COATER! Well at least there was a good one from the trio. This one had a wonderful formula!

All of these shades are beautiful however they are not unique or different. OPI has dupes/similar shades for all of the polishes in this collection. My friend Phoebe has a great DUPES video up on her YouTube channel that you can check out here in case you are interested.

All 12 Fiji Collection shades are available in GelColor, Infinite Shine and Nail Lacquer formulas, offering consumers and professionals choices for the best product to fit their needs. OPI is 3 FREE so it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP. Not all of OPI’s polishes are 3 FREE but it is said that after 2006 all are 3 FREE. It’s best to check labels if you have a concern. FTC: I received “No Tan Lines” complimentary from OPI. All opinions are 100% my own #gifted #honestreview #octolyfamily. I purchased the other 14 polishes myself.

My favorites from the bunch were No Tan Lines and Hand Me My Sunglasses. Which one was your favorite?
