Happy Mani Monday lacquered lovelies! I’m starting off the week by sharing with you a gorgeous collection by ORLY. This is their Fall 2015 In The Mix Collection. This will hopefully cure your Monday blues!
This set is a collection of 2 cremes 3 crellies and 1 awesome glitter. In The Mix turns up the volume on a street-inspired palette of rich and riotous color that will have you feeling the beat. Next stop, the dance floor. They also have a mini set that will soon be in stores.
Here you have a mix of Summer and Fall shades so this collection is ideally a transitional collection from those bright electric Summer tones to the more warm deep Fall tones. I love it! All swatches were taken indoors under a high definition lamp. I added Seche Vite top coat to all swatches as well. Let’s get to it.
This is a super bright coral pink. The formula is excellent. It dries super glossy. This is 2 coats.
This is a bright fuchsia crelly. It applied super smooth on the 1st coat and dried semi-matte. It’s mostly opaque in 2 coats.
Turn It Up
This is an awesome confetti glitter, filled with multi-sized and multi-colored glitter in a clear base. I don’t have any other glitters like this in my collection. I love this so much. This is 1 coat over Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? by OPI.
This is a deep violet-y purple crelly. It was watery and very jelly-like on the 1st coat. It evened out and was practically opaque in 2 coats. Like jellies, it dried with that squishy look.
This is a lapis blue creme. Love the name! There are so many indie polishes I love 🙂 This has a phenomenal formula. It was very buttery and smooth. Opaque in 1 thick coat! You can do 2 coats as well. I had no staining with removal.
This is an inky navy blue crelly. The formula is very much like Off Beat. It is very watery and sheer on the 1st coat but evens out nicely on the 2nd coat. Amazing enough I had no staining with removal.
ORLY is free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene (3 FREE), and features the award-winning Gripper Cap. That cap came in very handy while swatching. I was able to open it with one hand! This collection is being sold at Sally Beauty Supply stores for about $5.50 each on sale! I haven’t seen the mini set yet, but I am sure it will pop up soon. I purchased the full set from transdesign.com.
So that’s the entire collection! I also have a live swatching + review video up on my YouTube channel that you can view here. Have you subscribed to my channel yet?
Overall, I really liked this collection. The formulas were excellent even the crellies and while the colors weren’t wildly unique, they were beautiful. My favorites were Freestyle, Turn It Up, and Indie.
Which one was your favorite? Have a great week everyone!
