Hi pretties! It’s the best day of the week 🙂 Finally some rest and relaxation. Today I’m sharing with you my review on the ULTA exclusive polish: whim. I’ve had these beauties for quite some time and finally got around to trying them out. These are Do You Lilac Me? and This Calls for Cava.
whim. is a nail polish brand exclusive to ULTA beauty stores that was released some time early last year. They are a high shine, gel-like nail lacquer whose unique patented 3 step system goes on like a polish but wears like a gel for long lasting color and superior shine. Free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, camphor and formaldehyde resin. They retail for about $10 USD but keep an eye on the clearance section because I bought these two for $3 each. Let’s take a look.
Do You Lilac Me?
This is a gorgeous, perfect for Spring deepened lilac creme. The formula is fantastic! It is practically opaque in 1 coat, and glides on like butter. I did 2 coats here.
This Calls for Cava
This is a light pink multi-sized hex glitter in a clear base. It has great glitter pay off but you do have to fish a bit for the larger hex glitters. I did 1 coat of this over Do You Lilac Me?
Here’s a macro of the hex glitter:
Overall I really like the formula of these polishes, but I’m not a fan of the bottle cap. It’s a square matted top that’s attached to the brush, which makes it a bit uncomfortable when applying the polish. butter LONDON also has a square cap but it comes completely off the bottle and the brush has a rounded handle that’s easier to hold. Other than that, I enjoyed the colors. I did buy a few polishes from this brand so expect to see more reviews on whim.
Have you tried whim nail polish? Which one of these was your favorite? Have a great weekend pretty polishers!
